Our History
Our parent company, Ocean Beauty Seafoods, has been in the seafood business since 1910, starting as a small Seattle seafood shop known as the Washington Fish & Oyster Company.
In 2001, Echo Falls was launched as one of Ocean Beauty's premium smoked salmon brands and has since grown to become the #1 smoked seafood brand in grocery stores across the US.
As of 2024, our smoked and specialty seafood business, which includes two smokehouses in Washington state, is now operating under the Echo Falls Seafoods name. We're honored to continue serving you the best specialty seafood around!
Ocean Beauty begins as a seafood distributor known as Washington Fish & Oyster Company.
Our first retail brand, the LA Smoked & Curing Company (LASCco) is acquired.
Three Star Seafoods and our legacy delicatessen brand, Nathan's, is acquired.
Circle Sea Seafoods is acquired, further expanding our Smoked and Value-Added seafood operations. Shortly after, our namesake smoked seafood brand, Echo Falls, is born.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, understanding that we are dependent on the health and vitality of the fish we source.We carefully source fish from around the world, and only participate in farms or fisheries that are certified under the standards of the Alaska Responsible Fisheries Management (RFM), the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), GlobalGAP, or the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC).

Located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, our Monroe Smokehouse doubles as our corporate headquarters. This facility pairs modern equipment with traditional methods to deliver wild Alaska seafood products that are uniquely authentic to the Pacific Northwest.
Renton, Washington
Situated between the Puget Sound and Lake Washington, our Renton facility is known for its outstanding customer service and high level of production quality.
Scotland
Using a time-honored recipe specific to this region, our Scottish Atlantic salmon is hand-crafted by Scottish Smoke Masters along the Northern shores of Scotland.
Norway
Salmon thrives in the cold, clear waters of the Norwegian fjords. With salmon farming expertly and strictly managed to ensure sustainable fish stocks, we are proud to source high-quality Norwegian Atlantic Salmon from the western coast of Norway.
Chile
Surrounded by an incredible natural environment and ideally situated alongside the icy waters of the Pacific, this is where our hot smoked Coho Salmon is sourced.
Bristol Bay, Alaska
Through our sister company OBI Seafoods, we have direct access to premium, wild Alaska seafood sourced sustainably from the pristine waters of Bristol Bay, Alaska, which we then cure and smoke using a traditional Alaskan recipe.
